art journal

inspired by Daisy Yellow, ihanna and Balzer Designs (see them on our blog list) i have started playing at making an art journal – i’m loving the freedom of anything goes and look at all sorts of household things and packaging as possible texture or stencil makers – feels like reconnecting with a pre-school child’s enthusiasm without caring about a result – just enjoying the process

Here is a page made from words taken out of one Saturday newspaper:

i see you use a spiral bound book – i’m new at this art journaling venture and have been wondering which book type to use. i’m working in a Smash Journal for now – it’s spiraled – i think i like it. i like your use of color – bright flashes add pop – cool!

I’m new at it too! i just bought a few of these spiral bound books because they were on offer, and what i find so freeing about art Journaling is that anythng goes and i am not working towards selling or anything like that – just playing, so i guess anything is ok really.
